A vast majority of Abbas’ work vivaciously captures the life of Thar’s gypsies and the vastness of this mystical desert. His works bring forth an appreciation for simple things in life. His gypsies seem content and joyous with a few bare essentials in an unforgiving desert urging onlookers to reflect upon their own life of privilege and discontentment. Currently, Ali Abbas teaches at Mehran University, Jamshoro
