PAD Participates in International Cultural Event at Mall of Dubai

Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities organized an international cultural event, from 17 May till 21 May, 2019 at Mall of Dubai. Countries were invited to exhibit and showcase their cultural activities. Pakistan Day was organized and presented by Pakistan Association Dubai, Culture committee.



The event started at 8:30 pm and lasted till 11:15 pm. Various segments were arranged and a variety of cultural display was presented. It included:



Art exhibition: A portion of the booth was decorated with different Pakistani Artists work, prepared by Pakistani Community in Dubai.



Pakistani Cultural Dresses display: A traditional Pakistani family, dresses for a Man (Shalwar Kameez & Sherwani), a Lady (Embroidery work shirt and shalwar), a Girl (colorful frock), a Boy (Waistcoat, Shalwar kameez) along with traditional shoes were showcased.



Henna Stall: Live henna painting stall was arranged, where a lady painted beautiful and cultural henna styles on the hands and arms of the female visitors and tourists from across the world.



Showcasing Pakistani Culture: Small artefacts of various traditional items were at display, like Bed( traditional “Chaar pai”), Truck, Rikshaw etc.



Pakistani Sweets and Traditional Drinks: A stall with Gulaab Jaamin, Jalaibee , and Lassi in traditional mud pot was kept for the visitors.



Various stage activities were arranged to engage and entertain audience including – Introductory Speech about Pakistan and its culture, National Songs – sung live by Pakistani Youth, Quiz based on Information about Pakistan and its culture, informative and interactive sessions about Pakistani sports, rich cultural heritage, storytelling and lot more kept the audience engaged throughout the event.



The event was full of fun and entertainment. Tourist and visitors from various countries stood and enjoyed it.
