The Power Of Unity

Only 22 days before we have celebrated the birth of Allama Iqbal and Inshallah after 25 days we will be celebrating the birth of our father of the nation Qaid Azem Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

These are the two giants to whom we owe the birth of a country as Pakistan and a nation as Pakistanis.

Whether we accept it or not, but right now we are passing through a difficult patch of our history and are facing another challenge to our survival. The world around us is changing faster than we can grasp, and we are not in the most comfortable spot. We seem to be missing the boat and seem not progressing towards our desired goals.

From history and experience we learn that whenever a project fails to realize the desired results the logical and the sane thing to do is to go back to the drawing board and carefully examine where we have diverted from the path. As a Financial Executive I have learned and practiced it more than once and at majority of the occasions has successfully located the underlying cause of the disaster. ..

Pakistan was also a project dreamt by the marvelous minds of its time, thoroughly debated expertly planned, and successfully implemented. .

It was a work of art, a necessity of the time for matter of survival of a nation, built on the rock solid principles of:

-Faith
-Unity
-Discipline
If we go back and examine dispassionately, undoubtedly we have slowly drifted away from all three of these basic foundation stones

It was deliberate accidental or planned- probing it now; is not going to take us anywhere, and may only widen the gap, deeper the rift and push us away from the solution. The sane thing to do is to slowly move back towards these principles where the real solution lies.

We had very discreetly touched the power of faith in our previous issue of Pehchaan and as our guiding principle had treaded very carefully and cautiously avoiding those land mines which lie in the path of faith(s) and the fault lines that divide than unite. We intend to do the same about Unity in this issue.

OUR AIM IS TO UNITE AND NOT TO DIVIDE.

Let us go back to our second commandment i.e. Unity and examine what was the vision of founding fathers about Unity and its significance for survival and we come across a very clear logic of unity in our nation in the following verse of Allama Iqbal which I am sure everyone has read them more than once ..

And with the same clarity and unambiguity we find the clear assertion of Qaid-E-Azam about the necessity and logic of Unity for our survival..

Muhammad Ali Jinnah

“It is only with united effort and faith in our destiny that we shall be able to translate the Pakistan of our dreams into reality”

“We Mussalmans believe in one God, one book (the holy Quran) and one Prophet (SAW). So we should stand united as one Nation”

Before it is too late, let us join our hands and thank the Almighty for bestowing upon us His bounty of being a great Nation blessed with a beautiful country and having the rock solid foundation based on Golden principles laid down by our blessed founding fathers.
