With over 5000 people in attendance, the Pakistan Mango Festival 2022 officially kicked off on July 1st at Pakistan Association Dubai. PMF 2022 was a joint initiative with Pakistan Business Council, under the patronage of the Consul General of Pakistan, His Excellency Hassan Afzaal Khan.
Day 1 marked the exclusive invite-only event attended by senior dignitaries including the Consul General of Pakistan, His Excellency Hassan Afzaal Khan and Deputy Ambassador, His Excellency Imtiaz Gondal. The festival was formally inaugurated by UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. The exclusive gathering was an opportunity to promote the trade and export of Pakistani mangoes around the world.
“Pakistan has always used mangoes for diplomacy,” Dr. Faisel Ikram, president of the Pakistan Association Dubai, said. “Today’s event is a pure diplomacy event where we invited foreign missions, consul generals, business councils and government officials to come and see what Pakistan has to offer.”
"Everything was also in mango colours or has the fruit as a theme — from the yellow carpet that welcomed the guests to a robot roving around delivering mangoes to visitors, the mango-inspired Harley Davidson motorcycle, as well as the various dishes, salads and desserts featuring mango ingredients." - Gulf News
We were also pleased to welcome a number of foreign diplomats and trade mission representatives from various countries, including, Afghanistan, Albania, Ghana, Egypt, Bulgaria, Chile, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Maldives, Bosnia and Herzegovena, Lithuania, UK, USA, South Korea, France and
online casino Philippines, among others.
Day 2 was an open public event for the community which welcomed people of all nationalities. An array of fun games, competitions, giveaway, magic shows, art workshops, shopping, and exquisite mango delights was in store for young and old alike. The yellow spirit all around was a treat for everyone who participated.
