Arts & Cultural Expo 2018 at Parwarish in Pakistan

Parwarish Organization organized a science, arts and cultural expo in Parwarish Home from 20th to 21st December 2018.

The exhibition was arranged by the Parwarish stars and displayed their art work, science models, traditional crafts, cultural dresses and other materials of interest. Such exhibitions are arranged every year to show case the talent of Parwarish students and provide them a platform to enhance their skills.

The students performed tableaus and PT show during the expo. Position holder students and best teachers were awarded during the expo. Shields were also presented to the honorable guests.

Air Vice Marshal Mr. Asad Ikram was the chief guest of the main event on 21st December. The expo was attended by a large number of educationists, local government officials, political and social workers, students and teachers from different schools, local community and the families of the Parwarish stars.

A delegation of PAD led by Dr. Faisal Ikram, President Pakistan Association Dubai, visited the expo and assured their full support in the noble cause.

Dr. Zia Ul Hasan, Chairman Parwarish, and Mr. Naeemullah, Director Parwarish, thanks all the honorable guest who visited the expo and encouraged the youth.

Parwarish is a nonprofit group dedicated towards the education of children afflicted by atrocities in Swat. More than 7,000 children became orphans as around 3,500 people were killed in Swat during the militancy and the subsequent military operation. Swat saw the largest population of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) when the armed forces launched the operation in 2009.


Parwarish was conceptualized and set up in 2009 as a full-fledged nonprofit, donation based, enterprise to tend to the driven – out shelter less children. Parwarish runs under the umbrella of Pakistan Association Dubai where expatriate Pakistanis have adopted children for $100 (Dh367) per month or $1, 200 per year.

The cost covers school fees, hostel stay, uniforms, books, health care, all the meals, entertainment and sports.


The organization has since been sustained steadily through philanthropist support from PAD.


This achievement would not have been possible without the approval of Community Development Authority and agreement by both Emirates Red Crescent and the Department of Islamic Affairs to help transfer donations to Parwarish.
