Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30

Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) Sports Committee organized different sports events as part of Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30 including Badminton, Volleyball, Hockey and Football at the premises of Pakistan Sports Arena, PAD. This was the second edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30 and was more popular among the Pakistani community than the 1st edition.

Shahid Ul Islam (Executive Committee Member and well known Social Worker) was the Chief Guest of the main event, during his address Mr. Shahid Ul Islam said youngsters should take part in sports activities to showcase their real talent. He said that this kind of healthy activities will help to showcase positive image of Pakistan in front of world. He also highlights the importance of Sportsman spirit and said all players shall respect each other and shall develop good relationship with each other utilizing this event.

Joint Secretary of PAD, Mr. Zahid Hassan spoke on the occasion and congratulated PAD Sports Committee for organizing such a successful and organized event and said that we are lucky people because we are living in a country where fitness and sports are in top priority of the Government. He thanked H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhamamd Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for providing this opportunity to the athletes to improve their fitness.

During his address Sports Director of PAD, Mr. Abubakar Imtiaz said that H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhamamd Bin Rashid announced the Dubai Fitness Challenge to make Dubai one of the fittest and active city in the world. He further said that PAD used to take part proactively in all initiatives launched by UAE government and provided an opportunity to the Pakistani community to take part and support these initiatives. He also thanked Al Marai for sponsoring the event with beverages.

There were total of twenty six teams participating in the Dubai Fitness Challenge from different corporate sectors and clubs. Badminton winners were Team Umar and Khurram. Team FEVA took home the final trophy of volleyball. PAD Hockey team won the final match while St. Mary’s College Srilanka named the football title.

The prizes were distributed by Mr. Shaid Ul Islam, Mr. Zahid Hassan (Joint Secretary PAD), Mr. Masroor Gillani (Director public Relations PAD), Mr. Haroon Ur Rashid (Cultural Director PAD) and Mr. Abu Bakar Imtaiz (Sports Director of PAD) and Mr. Dawood Khan (President Chinar Wing PAD) among the Winner and Runner-up teams.
