Weekly Arabic classes for Pakistan Community

The weekly Arabic language class at the Pakistan Association Dubai (Pad) has a remarkable advantage for the community members. The majority of the adult students are employees in different companies and the Friday classes help them learn new skills without disturbing their daily routine.

The PAD, as its community initiative and part of “Year of Zayed” campaign, has started the 4-month Arabic language course for its members on a weekly basis. The weekly sessions are being held in its premises and being attended by over 35 members.

Mr. Shahid-ul-Islam, a member of the organising committee, said that they had organized a similar 4-month course last year and the response was overwhelming. “To continue the initiative for the community, we have started classes for our members who are interested in learning the language through weekly classes at PAD. This course will be concluding next month and the association has planned to continue this course to benefit the maximum number of community members,” he said.

He also pointed that for female members of the community, a similar initiative of weekly classes ‘Lissan-ul-Quran’ is also being organized every Tuesday in which over 80 women are participating. “The Arabic classes for ladies are designed to impart grammar lessons, communication and religious workshops to benefit the members. Weekly classes for women by a number of female teachers are being held for more than a year and these will be continued throughout the year,” he added.

Those who completed the 4-month course also awarded certificates by the association.
Both courses on Tuesdays and Fridays are free.

The Community Development Authority (CDA) Dubai as part of its initiative of the National Identity section has been organizing weekly Arabic classes for non-Arabic speakers. The weekly classes are free and being held at Rashidya Majlis every Thursday for next three months starting this week.
