Football Championship

Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) organized a PAD Football Championship at the premises of Pakistan Association Dubai as part of Dubai Fitness Challenge: 30×30 an initiative by H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.


Twelve teams from different corporate sectors and clubs participated in the tournament. The teams were : FC Kafu, Inferno, AKSG Green, Thyssenkrupp, Hawks football club, Nasimi United, Rana football club, Nujoom Qusais, AkSG White, Chitral football club and AKSG Red.


Mr. Mohammed Abu-Rashid, an Emirati, Trainer with Dubai Police and ex-football player was the match referee for tournament matches.

The final was played between Nujoom Qusais and FC Kafu, which was won by FC Kafu with 2-1 after an interesting competition.

Mr. Moutaz Sharif from Dubai Sports Council was the chief guest for event. In his speech Mr. Moutaz Sharif highlighted the importance of sports and said he love and support all athletes, whatever sport they are playing. He said, sports activities are helpful in keeping the nation active and healthy. He praised Pakistan Association Dubai for doing excellent job in this regard.

Mr Tahir Hasnain Zaidi (General Secretary of PAD), Mr. Sohail Ashraf (Joint Secretary of PAD) and Mr. Zahid Hasan ( Sports Secretary of PAD) also spoke on the occasion.

Mr. Tahir Hasnain Zaidi and Mr. Sohail Ashraf distributed the prizes among the winner team, runner up team, best player of the tournament and best goalkeeper of the tournament.”
