SAFETY FIRST AWARENESS SESSION

Pakistan Association Dubai hosted a “SAFETY FIRST AWARENESS SESSION” organized by DUBAI POLICE in association with Pakistan Consulate Dubai. The event was a part of Dubai Police safety awareness campaign under the theme of “No Safety Know Pain – Know Safety No Pain.

1st Lieutenant Hamdan Ahmed Al Muhairi graced the event as Chief Guest from Dubai Police.

Dubai Police officer Mr. Omer Usman conducted very interactive session and highlighted Dubai Police initiatives to promote road safety. He also identified dangerous habits of drivers which can lead to big accidents. Mobile phones and social media are major challenges to road safety now a day he added.

The drivers and community members should be aware about the consequences of using social media and mobile while driving he said. The aim of awareness campaign is to share the safe driving tips among the community members and awareness about the rules and regulation of the driving. One of the major causes of road accident is use of mobile phones during driving, this not only put their lives in danger but also public lives on risk and leads to fatal accidents.

Mrs. Asma Ali Awan – Welfare Attache Pakistan Consulate Dubai thanked Dubai Police, Pakistan Association Dubai and community members to make the event successful. Pakistan Consulate will organize such events on a larger scale in association with the collaboration of PAD and Dubai Police, she added.

Tariq Rehman, Cultural Secretary PAD briefed Dubai Police officials about Pakistan Association Dubai and the facility.

During the event, Certificates were distributed among PAD volunteers by Dr. Asma Ali Awan and the Chief Guest.

A Q&A session was held at the end of the event where Dubai Police Officials answered the questions asked by the community members.
