Committed Clubs are those who will create an impact in the community of Dubai

Dr. Omar Al Muthanna asserts the engagement of people through multiple programs, to heighten the notion of cohesion and social responsibility amongst the community

Beefing up the campaign for the upcoming nonprofit Pakistan Medical Centre, CEO Community Development Authority Dr Omar Al Muthanna addressed an audience of over 200 diverse nationalities at the Pakistan Auditorium on Wednesday evening.

The event ‘ CEOs Legacy ‘ was a collaborated effort by Pakistan Association Dubai and CEO Clubs Network. It raised awareness amongst CEOs of various corporations to leave a legacy through their Corporate Social Responsibility for the first community healthcare facility in the GCC.

Being built on the initiative of own a brick, the CEO Clubs Network pledged a 1000 bricks towards the upcoming Pakistan Medical Centre.

The CEO Clubs Network is the largest business networking club in the world with a presence in 20 countries with more than 16, 000 exclusive elite CEOs & high executives’ members worldwide.

“Going through the files of the not for profit clubs ( in 2008) who were really serious in being on the frontline of community development “ Al Muthanna recollected “ I was right in the impact of the clubs and the potential that I saw back then”.

The Community Development Authority regulates and provides licensing services to non-profit Civil Society Organizations and associations.

“Be it honor labor during Ramadan or the recently launched community youth council, in every activity I have seen the familiar faces of Pakistan Association” added Al Muthanna.

The Medical Wing of PAD has served over 23,000 patients in over 90 free medical camps since 2009 which has led to the unprecedented not for profit Pakistan Medical Centre which will remain open to all nationalities.

“The challenge is to not construct the Medical centre but to sustain it. We need support and strength from individuals and corporate who believe in giving back to the community” said Dr Faisel Ikram, President of PAD.
“In the Year of Zayed, we should all be motivated to leave a legacy behind and what other way then contributing towards a centre that will be a beacon of hope for thousands of people” added Dr Ikram.

Local hospitals such as Mediclinic City Hospital, Saudi German Hospital, RAK College of Dentistry and Supervision optical have already pledged support towards community healthcare facility.

Mudassir Sheikha, co-founder and CEO Careem was a motivational speaker of the evening. He highlighted the success story of MENA’s leading ride hailing app and the importance of having the best people as your team.

Dr Tariq Ahmed Nizami, the founder and CEO of CEO Clubs Network said “I am proud to associate myself towards this noble cause and God willing we would contribute more than what we have pledged”.

The Pakistan Medical Centre is a component of Pakistan Centre, the world’s largest community centre for overseas Pakistanis.

It will serve like any other polyclinic delivering services through different tiers and free to those who cannot afford.

The own a brick initiative encourages community members to take ownership through a brick worth a Dh1,000 and become a member of PAD for 10 years.

“With over 15,000 bricks to be given away and construction work already in place, the centre is to inaugurate in 2019” noted Dr Ikram adding that the support of Community Development Authority has been a cornerstone in the novel cause.
